Wyozona Cup: Day 1 Recap – Team Arizona Takes the First Point In what can only be described as an "odd starting format," the first round of the Wyozona Cup saw Team Arizona fight tooth and nail to secure the opening point of the competition. The match began with a 3-man alternate shot format that took some time to adjust to, leading to a chaotic yet thrilling battle between the teams.

ABOUT THE CUP
The WyoZona Cup was born out of a COVID-era 2020 golf trip between two college buddies and has grown into what it is today—a four-day, six-person, multi-format traveling golf competition. Over the past five years, we’ve teed it up at some of the nation’s top courses, creating unforgettable golf memories along the way.
This year marks the second official edition of the WyoZona Cup, with scoring and bragging rights on the line. Team Wyoming captured the inaugural Cup last year in Idaho, and they’ll look to defend their title as the teams meet again—this time in Portland. The tournament will span four days and feature a mix of formats, including alternate shot, scramble, stroke play, and match play, to determine this year’s Grand Champions.
